The state Department of Ecology has approved additional rights to water for SEH America, a Clark County silicon wafer manufacturer, paving the way for its expansion to make bigger, 12-inch silicon wafers. Ecology's decision allows SEH America permission to use up to an additional 2,000 gallons of water per minute, doubling the amount of water it can use. "With the combination of the tax incentive just signed into law, and now the water right approval, Washington has removed roadblocks for SEH America. We are doing our part to help this company keep its business in our state," Gov. Chris Gregoire said. |
