Tuesday, May 28, 2013They say travel broadens the mind; if so, I must now be more broad-minded than Hugh Heffner (much younger too!). The global show calendar becomes more congested each year, and it is now at a point where companies have to chose which major shows to focus on and which to miss, so this would indicate that the market is beyond saturation point. As a new show appears it is now simply dissecting the exhibitors and audience.

San Diego or Bust!
Tuesday, April 9, 2013I must say I love San Diego as an event location, lots of hotels and places to eat close by, great transport links, and during APEX the local area has a buzz about it, which is great for exhibitors and visitors. Productronica is also a great show, but everyone is scattered throughout Munich and its suburbs. After the big guys moved out, almost all the others followed, even better job on the products that are suited to this model.

Who ya gonna call?
Thursday, November 22, 2012A few months ago I wrote a piece about partnerships, and I was pleasantly surprised by the number of people who have since complimented me on the article, some hoping their customers had seen it too! It shows that this stuff is actually read by many around the world, and that makes it more than a little humbling, so here is more in the same vein.

Incredible India?
Thursday, October 25, 2012I was lucky enough to attend the electronica/productronica event in September in Bangalore; running alongside this prestigious show was the emerging SMALED Conference.

There has been a feeling for a while now that the Indian market, which has been growing steadily, is about to take off. We may still be waiting on the runway but all the signs are there. Read More
