Dynalab Is Creating the “American Dream” through Hard Work and the Help of Valued Partners like Nordson YESTECH

■ Dynalab’s production floor is equipped with innovative equipment designed to keep it on the leading edge of technology. The company’s mission is to successfully meet each of the manufacturing opportunities presented by its customers.

Headquartered in Reynoldsburg, Ohio and occupying a 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility, Dynalab Inc. is a design and manufacturing organization serving the electronics industry. Since 1981, it has built many long-term partnerships with Fortune 500 companies by providing outstanding engineering and manufacturing support. As a full-service electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, Dynalab offers the technical capabilities, financial resources and customized supply chain management programs typically found with larger EMS companies, along with the agility, flexibility and responsiveness usually found with smaller companies.

As a leading EMS company in the growing global economy, providing jobs for more than 250 associates, Dynalab is continually challenged by the many unique manufacturing opportunities presented by its customers. Dedicated associates work to exceed those demands, challenges and opportunities by focusing on hard work and quality. President Gary James said that the company’s employees create its success with their great attitudes and attention to detail.

And successful it is. Dynalab has been selected by both existing and new customers to work on several large, multi-year contracts. As a result of the consistently new business and to support customers, the company continues to add equipment to stay on the leading edge of technology. Dynalab also makes it a point to partner with companies that share the same work ethic and drive for success, which is why it has worked with Nordson YESTECH since 2003, and why Nordson YESTECH has been a mainstay of its quality systems since then. Dynalab currently owns and operates six YESTECH AOI systems, including the FX, which all together have inspected more than 8 million PCB assemblies since being installed. With automated test and inspection solutions from Nordson YESTECH, Dynalab inspects for solder and lead defects, component presence and location, correct part, and polarity. In addition to providing quality, flexibility and reliability, Nordson YESTECH prides itself on customer service. James added, “YESTECH’s service and support has always been topnotch, but rarely needed.”

The FX AOI system was chosen to be part of the recent tour of Dynalab’s manufacturing facility by United States Vice President Mike Pence. James said, “We had a limited amount of time for a production tour; therefore, we chose several processes that we have found to intrigue our many visitors. The YESTECH FX AOI system always impresses visitors because they can understand it and it showcases the small parts of the assembly.”

Accompanied by fellow Republicans U.S. Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio and U.S. Rep. Pat Tiberi of Delaware County, Pence spoke to a select group of small-business owners at Dynalab and toured the facility at the beginning of April.

During his speech, Pence mentioned a recent National Association of Manufacturers survey showing that optimism among manufacturers is the highest it has ever been in the survey’s nearly 20-year-long history. He also praised the entrepreneurial spirit of James, calling Dynalab the “American Dream” in his address to the larger group. Dynalab has been a member of the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) for 20 years. In March 2017, small business optimism remained at one of its highest readings in 43 years, according to NFIB Small Business Optimism Index, surveyed in March 2017.

An article about the visit in the Columbus Dispatch stated, “Pence’s 23-minute talk on the spotless factory floor of Dynalab, an electronic manufacturing-services company on Lancaster Road, came before a crowd of a couple of hundred….” Dynalab received some much-deserved positive feedback about the meeting and its facility, with several print newspapers and publications.

Dynalab was chosen as a stop on Pence’s tour because of Dynalab’s support of administration manufacturing policies. “I have long been quite outspoken about the political scene, and we have attracted the attention of many organizations such as NFIB, the National Association of Manufacturers and the Ohio Manufacturers Association. We also have longstanding relationships with Senator Portman and Congressman Tiberi,” said James.

“We are not afraid to say what needs to be done in government as we are not a public company and, therefore, don’t have to worry about stockholder retribution,” he joked. In reality, James runs Dynalab similarly in that no one from the CEO down to the janitors shirks their responsibilities, especially when it means helping their customers become – and remain – leaders in their fields. Each person steps up to help when needed and, as a result, Dynalab is known the world over for a being reliable, quality service provider.
