ECD receives ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for its testing and calibration laboratory
ECD announced that its state-of-the-art calibration lab has received ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from the internationally-recognized American Association for Laboratory Accreditation, further highlighting of the company’s intense commitment to quality.
“While our team has offered superb calibration services for our thermal profiling systems for many years,” explains ECD President and CEO, Todd Clifton, “achieving ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation offers third-party confirmation of our high standards. Customers now have even greater confidence that their M.O.L.E® thermal profilers and SmartDRY® RH and temperature sensors have been calibrated to the most demanding criteria.”
Many electronics industry professionals are familiar with the ISO 9000 standard. Though ISO/IEC 17025 is similar, it extends beyond quality management for business efficiency and also evaluates technical competence. For global testing and calibration laboratories, ISO/IEC 17025 is the single most important recognized standard for the assurance of quality.
As in-spec thermal processes and compliant MSD storage techniques are critical for high-yield electronics assembly, the accuracy of thermal profiling and dry storage is essential. Backed by ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, ECD customers can rest assured that all M.O.L.E. and SmartDRY products regularly calibrated at the company’s testing and calibration laboratory will perform to the most exacting standards.
