Electronics industry body IESA to open offices in Pune, Andhra Pradesh
Electronics industry body IESA today said it plans to open offices in Pune and Andhra Pradesh to work closely with local companies and foster a manufacturing ecosystem.
“Today, close to 40 per cent of electronics for the automotive industry is supported from Tamil Nadu alone. IESA is highly inclined towards the achievement of this objective and is striving towards building support for the companies across states like Tamil Nadu to promote conducive manufacturing of products for global markets,” IESA President MN Vidyashankar said.
Moorthy said that IESA members coordinate with state and central government to take measures to boost electronic manufacturing.
“We work out ways we can include local academia in to the whole ecosystem. We are seeing good initiatives that are being taken by the Andhra Pradesh government. We will look at setting up an office in AP too,” Moorthy said.
