KIC honors Bjorn Dahle for 20 years of innovating thermal process tools

KIC announces that its president, Bjorn Dahle, celebrated his 20-year milestone with the company. Though he joined KIC in 1996 and assumed his role as the company’s President in 2000, Dahle believes he is just getting started. KIC’s thermal profiling products have become omnipresent in the EMS industry with the well-known KIC logo appearing on reflow ovens in thousands of factories.

Dahle began his career in the electronics industry in 1987 as product manager at Amistar Corporation. He joined MPM in 1988 as a sales manager, then moved to Germany to setup MPM’s European operations. Dahle holds an MBA in Marketing from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

With a total 30 years in the industry, Dahle is extremely well-versed in the industry, and specifically thermal process tools to help electronic manufacturers improve quality, productivity and traceability. Dahle commented: “I have been fortunate in my career to work for excellent companies such as MPM. Although KIC is a small company, we have some of the best people that I have ever had the honor to work with. We are in the early stages of the smart factory trend where KIC is well-positioned to take advantage of decades of acquiring and analyzing process data to help manufacturers run their factories more effectively. We are very proud of how we have helped thousands of customers improve their thermal processes, but with the team that we now have, the best is yet to come.”
