Aculon signs Caplinq Europe BV as distributor in Europe, the Middle East and Africa
Aculon has signed an agreement with Caplinq Europe BV that will provide European order fulfillment and market support for Aculon products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Under the terms of the agreement, CAPLINQ will represent Aculon’s line of NanoClear™ and NanoProof™ products, among others.
Aculon, a leading thin film surface treatment company, creates and markets treatments for the electronics, oil & gas, and specialty markets. Aculon, based in San Diego, CA, USA has market-leading stencil and PCB treatments. With more and more demand coming from Europe for this technology, Aculon recognized they needed to have a local presence to properly serve the European market.
“Our customers simply told us that they wanted us to have European technical representation and local technical support” says Edward Hughes, CEO of Aculon. “We are very excited about the cooperation with Chris Perabo, Ivo Verzijlbergen and the rest of the CAPLINQ team. We believe that with the support of CAPLINQ Europe, we can serve our existing customers, develop new ones and be more cost competitive in the European market.”
Aculon NanoClear, NanoProof and Repellency treatments
With NanoClear, Aculon has proven itself as an award-winning technology leader to the stencil industry. Aculon NanoClear® is the best-in-class stencil treatment technology that improves print quality, increases efficiency, lowers total costs and enhances printing with small apertures.
Aculon’s award-winning NanoProof® Series offer customers a range of PCB waterproofing solutions from protecting against accidental water damage (NanoProof 1.0) to IPX7, immersion in water at one meter depth for 30 minutes (NanoProof 3.5,4.0), to greater barrier properties that can withstand 100 hours immersion in sweat solutions and some of the most stringent test methods developed for non-hermetic components (NanoProof 5.1).
Aculon’s has a range of repellency treatments which are superhydrophobic and oleophobic as well as metal-repellency materials for total protection to a specific environment. Aculon coatings can be as thin as 2-4 nanometers or up to several microns thick and can be applied on sensitive electronics and other components. Minimal capital equipment is needed and already applied by various OEMS.
