Blakell Europlacer Distribution shows iineo+ platform for the first time at WNIE 2018.

Despite several sales across the UK since the launch of Europlacer’s iineo+ placement platform early in 2017, visitors to WNIE will be the first in the UK to see the company’s most popular platform product at an exhibition. The iineo+ machine will be the centrepiece of the Blakell Europlacer Distribution stand No. C56.

An update on the company’s successful iineo machine, the iineo+ remains Europlacer’s best-selling platform and is renowned for its exceptional flexibility. The ‘Plus’ upgrade adds multi core processing for faster inter-machine and factory floor communication, an improved intuitive operator interface featuring large touch-screen functionality, enhanced traceability tools and, importantly, integrates Europlacer’s component electrical tester as standard.

Electrical component testing is considered increasingly important across the electronics community. It helps to guard against the prevalence of substandard and counterfeit parts leeching into the electronics supply chain as price pressures and shortages blight the industry. The tester built into the iineo+ platform is a four-wire, Kelvin-connected LCR bridge that returns measured electrical values.

In addition to component placement, the company will exhibit products from its principles that include hi-definition manual inspection from Tagarno, AOI from Aleader, screen printing from sister company Speedprint, and a brand-new Incoming-Goods scanning and relabelling solution from Europlacer.

The relabelling station, aimed at incoming goods teams, scans SMD component reels, dry packs and cartons. It features 5-megapixel cameras and an intelligent mirror deflection unit to automatically locate barcodes without operator intervention. In less than a second, the system locates and identifies any number of labels on the pack or reel. It matches selected (or expected) labels to a database of suppliers, validates for plausibility, then transmits the resulting data directly to an ERM system or to a label printer to produce a bespoke label specific to the user’s inventory and storage requirements.

Visitors to the WNIE event can find all the Blakell Europlacer Distribution exhibits on Stand C56.
