Save the NEW Date May 12 2016 IoM 2016 – The event to debate the Internet of Manufacturing

IoM is coming…

However, we have changed the date to May 12th 2016 to accommodate additional delegates.

Global SMT & Packaging magazine, and Scoop, have rescheduled the IoM 2016 conference that was originally scheduled to be held on February 16th now to be held on May 12th, 2016.

Driven by the high level of interest from both sponsors and delegates, plus the addition of SMTA (Surface Mount Technology Association), the organizers of IoM have decided to increase the capacity and expand the event.

“We have been overwhelmed by interest in IoM 2016.” states Trevor Galbraith, Editor-in-Chief, Global SMT & Packaging.  “We all know that Industry 4.0 is of great interest to a significant number of people and companies as the manufacturing industry faces many challenges and advances through new and revolutionizing changes to factory automation, so to avoid disappointment, we have changed the date of IoM to accommodate these growing needs.”

The organizers are also delighted to welcome the support and cooperation with SMTA as a sponsoring association.

“As demand dictates a need to connect the electronics industry thought-leaders on this subject, SMTA has come onboard as a sponsor to share their valuable insight into the discussion on the technology requirement for the factory of the future” Philip Stoten, Founder Scoop concluded.

The program remains unchanged and will continue to provide delegates with content focused on:

  • Emerging trends and technologies in IoM and Industry 4.0
  • IoM and the supply chain
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI)
  • Connectivity and smart factory solutions
  • Software platforms and interfaces
  • The right level of data to tap intelligence
  • Connecting the factory floor to the consumer’s door

To make a submission, please send your material to Trevor Galbraith, Conference Chair at
