Course: Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Control for Electronics Assembly
This educational program, jointly developed by IPC and The Electrostatic Discharge Association ESDA, covers static electricity generation, triboelectric charging. You will learn about ESD failure models and techniques to control ESD, including personal grounding for seated and standing operations, proper wrist straps, controlling static charges in the work area, and proper handling, packaging and transporting of ESD sensitive devices.

- Demonstrate proper handling of ESD sensitive devices
- Understand why ESD is harmful to integrated circuits
Course Time: 30 Minutes
Testing & Certificate:
A Certificate of Completion will be issued to the student upon Completion of the testing requirement of the course. A passing grade of 70% is needed to receive the certificate. The student will be allowed to take the test a total of 3 times to achieve a passing grade.
